at the Harvard Film Archive
---
A few personal notes
- Orson Welles Sketchbook #3 - Welles appear in very few films with his own nose
- The Deep - A very commercial friendly film
- The Other Side of the Wind - Why did Welles hire John Huston to play Jack Hanneford? Why not play it himself? - Internal film has elements of Easy Rider and Antonioni, seems to be an ironic comment on European art films - Planned to cut together five different story lines in certain segments - Gary Graver, pornographer, was the Cinematographer - Fragment in speeding car is stunningly erotic - Fragment in screening room producer describes the film to a funder - extremely rapid cutting style hidden/required by low-cost production
