Background to Danger - Raoul Walsh (1943)
This was supposed to be a follow up to the success of Casablanca, but it is a pale imitation. George Raft gets no love interest. Peter Lorre and (especially) Sidney Greenstreet give this B&W flick some nice color.

The Haunted Castle - F.W. Murnau (1921)
Made just one year before Murnau made Nosferatu. Chamber murder mystery. Almost no redeeming qualities, static, slow and poorly acted.
